photography.

as many of you people know, i love photography.
well to be less specific, i love art. (period)
but today i had an idea to write about how i got started with it.
it all started in 5th grade.... when i got my first camera for christmas i had a kodak point and shoot. i remember being so excited about it because it had 3 megapixels. the picture i think that really started it off was this one. . the one of lindsay in the left top. i remember taking it and looking at the sky and just thinking it was so beautiful. so i kept trying to take more. and it may have been before that picture was taken, but my dad took me to the car show after i had just gotten the camera. and i took a picture of a super awesome car, and i showed it to my dad and i remember him telling me "that should be on the cover of a magazine!". oh my goodness it was such a compliment to me. i felt so good after he told me that i decided to take more. until one fateful day that kodak camera died. my brother vince said that it died because i had turned it off and on too many times, so i guess it was ok that it died...but that camera had seen so many wonderful events, such as the teddy geiger concert: , the time where we all went to a foothill game as 5th graders, , and who cold forget this? .
after that camera i got yet another kodak! this time it was 5 megapixels. woah dang. it looked a little somethin like this . it didnt last long. not even a year. but there were a couple life-changing pictures taken on that camera. they were
and
then there was my mom's camera....the other kodak. that little beauty took all my pictures in dc, and when i was all emo. ahhh good times!

then there was my olympus phase.

during my olymupus phase i was actually in a photography class, which truly helped me alot.

i love this picture so much.
at this point in time i was in high school. and photography had become a part of me. i did it regularly, and tried to do my best. and one year i got another olympus camera. the sp uz 565 or something like that. my favorite thing to do on that camera was open shutter pictures.
like this:

come away with me

and now that leads me to where i am now.
here, is where i ask myself if i am really serious about this. if i really should dream to be a fashion photographer. if i really should put so much into this. if i really should consider this as the thing i do for the rest of my life.
and its here where i want to answer yes. why not continue going up? i was given the eye, and the knowledge of the camera, so why not keep going? i'm going to become the photographer of the celebrity you see on the front of vogue. i believe that if i really try, and know that anything is possible, (with the Lord's help:] ) that i will succeed. and all my dreams will be granted. and if they arent i know that i was brought this far for a reason. He's brought me this far. My parents have kept me going, and have always believed in me. and through those people, i know that my dreams are achievable, and very close to coming true. so here i am. just let me know where to go. :)

summa time

hello. my name is miriam ashman, and i will never be able to update my blog weekly.
so, summer...i've missed you. i've missed your warmness, and your arrested development all-nighters.
:)

well, so far this summer i've eaten at sweet tomatoes, gone to wasington, called every asian thing i saw "melanie", listened to all of lady gaga's songs, and i've talked to two really awesome friends on the phone (one of which has started listening to tiziano ferro!!!!! <3). i really love the summer. i really like the color it has. everything is so bright and bold and very beautiful.

i really wish i could upload my pictures from this computer.

something i've realized so far this summer is that i absolutely adore my school.
i've had like 5 dreams about it, and in one i was going back to the dreaded foothill, but thankfully when i woke it was not true. :)

i want to cook something!!!!

remember this hottie? mmm

ight, bye! i'll try to have a better post next time!

i've learned a lot this year.

in english we are in our poetry section, and we have been reading famous author's poems and redoing them. one of them is a poem by some guy (i'll post later who it is, i just cant think of his name right now. ) and its about all the things he learned last week. and i'm going to list things i've learned. right....now.
1. things always seem to work out well for me. for example- going to lva this year, i didnt have to do a huge english project all the other freshmen did, and having an amazing friend and teacher. i'm so grateful that the Lord is helping me, and making this all possible.
2. i learned that you sometimes have to include yourself to be included.
i must admit, i often feel left out, but after being more assertive, and loud, people notice me more, and see my good intentions more, which i'm happy about because i do the things i do to show people i care, and with more noticing come more caring, and more caring is sharing and sharing is love!
3. sometimes its fun to be hungry.
4. my hands are better washed.
5. i learned that being happy is much better then being ok, because just good isnt best. and the best is like zen.
6. i have a stupidstupidstupidstupid hair style, but i'm probably not going to change it any time soon.
7. wasting energy on being jealous, or sad, or unforgiving to such a stupid thing to spend time on.
8. my school has changed me for the better. i feel nicer, tireder, happier, and more outgoing. i love my school.
9. i learn something different about my friends everyday.
10. i have the best couch in the entire house.

lo siento

i've been busy.
its that horrid time of year where the birds are churping,
the bunnies are hopping, and the grades are looking not as good as they could.
may.
speaking of may- happy birthday vince! :D
this school week i did nothing important. i looked like crap, and i felt like crap thanks to those silly allergies. but i carried on.
yesterday was saturday and on that particular saturday i took some engagement photos for milan and brianna!
they're so cute!
i'll still making the pictures look a lil better and i should be done hopefully by tomorrow night.
i forgot to mention... while we were at the park we found something cute and something i've wanted since 3rd grade! a bunny!!!!!
ITS SO CUTE! and i kind of kept it. :D
but mom and i are going to take it to the vet tuesday.
if you want to touch a bunny, come to my house and youre more than welcome to.

okay.... so me, being a procrastinator, is finally doing my history project.
its on tonga! and we basically have to talk about an organization to help the people there, and to create one. so i'm doing it on what my dad does when he goes there.

dear mom,
happy mother's day. thank you so much for everything. today in church i decided i can't wait to be a mother. because i'll have what you have- love for your kids, even if were being mean. i cant wait to be like you.
everyday that you text to see if i'm up, and when you pick me up and take me out to eat somewhere, my love for you grows. thank you for living, and teaching me what it means to be a mother. everything you do i know you do it for good intension towards your kids. we love you. i love you and i am so thankful that i have the greatest mom in the entire universe!
i love you so so so so so much.

ps- come wipe my bum!!!! :D
